Whether you’re looking to update a small overgrown border that needs redesigning and replanting or a complete garden design, build and planting makeover, no garden is too small or too large.

As a qualified Garden Designer, I use my experience, technical knowledge and imaginative design skills to create the perfect garden for you.

After working for many years in interior design and property development, a lifelong passion for plants and gardens led to a change in career path.

Julie’s change in career lead her to study a Foundation Degree in Garden Design (FdGd) at Merrist Wood College in Surrey. This highly acclaimed, award-winning college gave Julie a strong foundation to build upon.

Julie’s drive and passion lead her to win the ‘Best Garden Design Student of the Year’ and an award at The South of England Show. After graduating she established 'Julie Metcalf Gardens' in 2010.

These achievements earned her a position at The Savill Gardens in the Royal Windsor Great Park where she was able to develop and refine her skills.

"A well-designed garden is an investment that will add value to your house and enable you to use your garden as an additional room for you,  your family and friends."

"I am passionate about gardens, plants and design. a well-designed garden should be aesthetically pleasing, but it should also be practical, usable and give pleasure throughout the year. "

"Imaginative design, attention to detail and good planning are fundamental to successful projects."

"Clients often tell me about the money they have wasted over the years on impulse buys at garden centres. Professional plant knowledge is key to choosing the right plants for the right conditions and avoiding costly mistakes."
